Webmaster (Buddy) : Hi,The January 2021 Activity Report has been posted to the Key blog: https://keytoharmony.org/files/index.php?post/January-2021-Activity-Report Although we had an increase in traffic to the website in January (compared to December) we did not see the usual increase in new members joining Key to Harmony that we typically experience this time of the year. In fact, our membership decreased by a net of 10 during the month.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

A. Gentle Reminder Coordinator Position remains open since November 2019. Committee is currently dormant (see August 2020 Minutes).

January 2021: Currently there is no committee. Interest expressed in resurrecting the committee and filling the Coordinator Position. Discussion to follow next month.

February 2021: Discussion continued as to responsibilities of members & Coordinator and how previous members handled things. Some responsibilities will be transferred from Gentle Reminder Coordinator to Tech Team’s responsibility. Reactivating the Gentle Reminder Committee & Coordinator position affirmed. Katy, Cathy, Adrienne and Rose volunteered to be on the committee. Per Cathy, Adrienne is Coordinator. We are awaiting what the rotation schedule will be. GR@key2harmony.org set up for inter-communication among members of the Gentle Reminder Committee. Now finished business.

B. Sponsorship Coordinator Position: is open as of January 1, 2021. In the meantime, the Webmaster has no one to forward requests for sponsorship information to.

February 2021: Description from website — Sponsorship Coordinator(s): Responds to correspondence about Sponsorship that comes through the contact us form. Brings comments and concerns received to the Biz Com for discussion. Barb volunteered. Now finished Business.

A. Newcomer Automatic Welcome : discussed. Some revision made. Some revisions made as well to the New to Al-Anon? link on our website . Webmaster welcomes newcomers with this message :

B. Idea of Greeters Committee reintroduced ( see January 2021 Minutes). 3 of 13 KeyBiz members had an interest in there being a Greeters Committee. KeyBiz Alternate Chair disagreed that such a committee ever existed. No KeyBiz member suggested what such a committee responsibilities might be. Business Chair indicates that at this time there will not be a Greeters Committee.

C. Donation to WSO: Topic reintroduced since our Stateside Treasury is now above our Prudent Reserve (prudent reserve is our estimated expenses ) Per Buddy, “Our annual invoices will be paid less than a month from now. Given our present membership, those fees, to be billed soon, will be approximately $225 Current funds in Stateside Treasury $347. BJ suggested we wait until upcoming bill is paid before making a donation.

D. Prudent Reserve: Stateside Treasurer suggested prudent reserve be lessened to $100. For several years, the prudent reserve has been the amount of yearly expenses plus additional expenses if any (and no specific amount set . Therefore, at this time, there is currently no specific $ amount set as Prudent Reserve. Buddy has now suggested $300 be set as Prudent Reserve and that amount of $300 was confirmed by 11+ 1 members. ( 2 refrained from voting ).

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS :

A. Suggestion that KeyBiz discuss only one agenda item at a time.

B No need for Secretary to keep list of KeyBiz email addresses.

C. For your information and to share with others: Newcomers can request a greeting packet by sending an email to Al-Anon.org\welcome. There is a new electronic packet not yet posted for newcomers that will operate like an ebook- to be purchased and downloaded. When it's available it will cost $2.99.

D. Monthly post to members re info available on website and blog with link to Guidelines and FAQ
